CAHOOTS
Cahoots is an investigative zine. Just like the name CAHOOTS, it is a zine about finding connections and common denominators between two unseemingly related entities (abstract concept or tangible object).
In the first issue of zine published, the topic focus on ‘flowers’ and ‘fecal matter’ (poop). The zine provides an understanding on how this two although unseemingly unrelated matters actually relates in an interesting way - the making of perfume.
The zine is designed in a structure whereby the reader can start to read anywhere one pleases. There is no standard order of reading as each articles workes on its own. The investigative journal styles instigates the reader to act as a ‘detective’ inorder find out the connection between the two subjects himself.
In terms of aesthetic treatment, we were inspired by old books and documents as well as newspapers.
This zine is part of a three week workshop with Pann Lim.
